Hillel finished his mural at the Edlavitch JCC today after a few days of painting, including in unexpected snow! The fallen leaves were painted by the JCC’s preschoolers, faculty, and staff. Daily candle lightings by local VIP guests will be at 2pm daily, weather permitting (except Saturday).
The mural was covered by the Washington Jewish Week.
85 preschoolers, ages 2-5, along with their teachers, and members of the JCC staff, sponge-painted the fallen leaves.
The JCC invited former leaders from their community to light the candles each day.
The mural was also the backdrop for a family concert that the JCC put on in the parking lot on the fourth night.
Wonderful mural – especially because you engaged the community. Loved the time lapse process video.
