With most of the murals complete, we had a blast partying the night away at our opening reception, hosted by the Jerusalem Biennale at the First Station! The shindig featured a dance performance titled “Jamaah” choreographed by Maayan Liebman-Sharon, performed on top of Ella Ponizovsky Bergelson’s new piece, featuring dancers Natalie Afriat and Shahaf Elimelech. It culminated in an invitation for all to join and dance the Dabke, a traditional Palestinian folk dance. We were then treated to tunes from DJ Ramzi Spinoza, and lots of champagne!
